YYC Net Lab currently has 18 students enrolled in various stages of the CCNA curriculum. Although this may not sound like a lot, when you factor in that our instructors are 100% volunteers with full time jobs, it can quick occupy a fair bit of time. Any current students will still be able to progress through the material and enroll in new courses – we don’t want any of our current students to have to put their training on hold because of us.
What’s changed?
It’s recertification time for our instructors. To continue to provide relevant certification training our instructors are required to keep their certifications current. Teaching a class takes time but taking a class or studying for a certification takes even more. We expect that the bulk of recertification will be completed by the end of February.
How can you help?
We are always looking for volunteers. These are some of the areas where we could use some help:
- CCNA R&S Teaching Assistants (CCNA certification not required)
- CCNA R&S Instructors
- CCNA Security Instructors
- Curriculum developers
- Event organizers
- Linux instructors
